Job Description
- As the IT Administrator at Good Shepherd International School in Ooty, your primary responsibility will be to manage and maintain the school's IT infrastructure, ensuring the smooth operation, security, and availability of all IT services supporting academic and administrative functions.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- **Server Management**
- Install, configure, and maintain servers (Windows/Linux).
- Monitor server performance, optimize usage, and implement backup and disaster recovery processes.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls while ensuring data security.
- **Hardware Management**
- Maintain and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, projectors, and other IT equipment.
- Ensure the smooth functioning of classroom and office IT equipment.
- **Networking Management**
- Configure and maintain LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi networks, and firewalls.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and monitor bandwidth usage.
- Implement network security policies, antivirus solutions, and coordinate with vendors/ISPs.
- **IT Support & Documentation**
- Provide technical support to staff and students.
- Document IT procedures, troubleshooting guides, and maintenance logs.

**Qualifications & Skills:**
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience as an IT Administrator/System Administrator.
- Strong knowledge of servers, networking protocols, and hardware troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with firewalls, routers, switches, and Wi-Fi management.
- Familiarity with data backup, security, and disaster recovery systems.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and time-management skills.
