Job Description
- Role Overview:
You will be part of the Guardian Technology Operations Team, collaborating closely with Development and DevOps teams to ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of systems. Your role will involve a combination of software engineering and IT operations to manage infrastructure and develop highly reliable software systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Automate operational tasks such as deployments, changes, and incident response.
- Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and other configuration management capabilities for implementing changes in the Cloud environment.
- Provide support for operational application deployment using standardized code deployment pipelines.
- Manage Linux and Windows Servers/Compute environments, with a primary focus on Linux.
- Work alongside DevOps and Application Support teams to enhance system reliability and performance.
- Monitor system performance, identify potential issues, and proactively address them.
- Be part of the on-call rotation to offer 24/7 support for production systems.
- Document processes, procedures, and system configurations.
- Manage Network, Middleware, Database, applications, and InfoSec environments.
- Monitor the ServiceNow ticket queue and event monitoring tools (Zenoss) for incidents & requests.
- Collaborate in outages and work towards resolution.
- Propose defects and enhancements to improve stability and automation.
Qualification Required:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation.
- Willingness to work in 24x7x365 shifts on a rotational basis.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
