Role Description The Article Assistant role at H N A & Co LLP is a full-time, on-site position based in Guwahati. The Article Assistant will support audit, assurance, and indirect taxation assignments, including GST compliance, documentation, and preparation of working papers under the guidance of senior team members. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with client data collection and analysis, preparing reports and summaries, maintaining accurate records, and supporting statutory and internal audits. The role also involves coordinating with clients, adhering to professional standards and deadlines, and participating in training sessions to build technical and professional skills. The position offers structured exposure to practical aspects of Chartered Accountancy, enabling candidates to develop expertise in indirect taxation and related areas.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing Chartered Accountancy (CA) with completed required eligibility to undertake articleship as per ICAI norms.
• Strong academic background in accounting, taxation, and finance, with clear conceptual understanding of Indirect Taxes and basic GST provisions.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and comfort with accounting and tax-related software tools.
• Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear working papers, emails, and basic reports.
• Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and ability to work with numerical data accurately and efficiently.
• Ability to work in a structured, deadline-driven environment, manage multiple tasks, and collaborate effectively within a team.
• Demonstrated integrity, professional attitude, and willingness to learn and take initiative in assignments.
• Prior internship or practical exposure in audit, taxation, or accounting will be an added advantage.
