Role Overview

The Head – Design & Product Innovation will lead the Design and Product Innovation function at HDFC Securities, reporting directly to the Head of Digital Products. The role is responsible for defining the organisations design vision, driving customer-centric innovation, and building differentiated digital experiences across all products and platforms.

The incumbent will lead multidisciplinary teams comprising UI Designers, UX Designers, UX Researchers, and Product Innovation professionals while working closely with Product, Engineering, Business, Data, Marketing, and other cross-functional teams to deliver measurable customer and business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

● Define and drive the overall Design and Product Innovation strategy aligned with the organisations business vision, while fostering a culture of customer-centricity, experimentation, and continuous innovation.

● Lead, mentor, and scale multidisciplinary teams comprising UI Designers, UX Designers, UX Researchers, and Product Innovation professionals, establishing best practices, design governance, and scalable design systems.

● Champion customer research, usability testing, analytics, and market insights to identify opportunities, validate ideas, and translate customer needs into intuitive, high-impact digital experiences.

● Drive innovation initiatives by identifying emerging technologies, market trends, and customer behaviours, leveraging AI, automation, personalisation, rapid prototyping, and experimentation to create differentiated products and experiences.

● Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Business, Marketing, Compliance, and senior leadership teams to influence strategic decisions, align priorities, and ensure successful execution of customer-centric initiatives that deliver measurable business value.

Qualifications

Education

● Bachelors Degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Engineering, Computer Science, Psychology, Product Design, or a related discipline is mandatory.

● A Masters degree or MBA from a reputed institution will be an added advantage.

Experience

● Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in UX Design, Product Design, Digital Experience, Product Innovation, or related fields.

● Minimum 3 years of experience leading multidisciplinary design teams.

● Experience in Broking organisations will be preferred.

● Proven track record of building customer-centric digital products, driving innovation, and delivering measurable business outcomes.
