Job Description
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Hospital Operations & Client Experience
- Ensure smooth day-to-day operations of the veterinary hospital.
- Maintain high client satisfaction ensure pet parents receive compassionate and timely service.
- Act as a bridge between veterinarians, staff, and pet parents to resolve concerns and improve service quality.
- Monitor cleanliness, hygiene, and safety compliance within hospital premises following veterinary standards.
Sales & Business Growth
- Plan and implement sales strategies to increase revenue across services (consultations, vaccinations, surgeries, diagnostics, grooming, etc.)
- Promote wellness plans and packages to increase repeat visits and preventive pet care.
- Track sales performance, set monthly targets, and guide team to achieve them.
- Build customer loyalty programs and ensure strong pet parent engagement.
Finance & Cost Management
- Maintain knowledge of Profit & Loss account, help optimize operational costs and maximize profitability.
- Monitor billing procedures, ensure transparency, and minimize revenue leakages.
- Manage vendor coordination and cost negotiation for medical and non-medical supplies.
- Validate daily cash reports, invoices, discounts, and payment collections.
Pet Care & Welfare (Must Be a Pet Lover)
- Handle and comfort pets safely, with proper restraint techniques.
- Oversee kennel management, food quality, and pet well-being during hospitalization.
- Support rescue cases and promote responsible pet ownership.
- Ensure adherence to animal welfare laws and hospital protocols.
Inventory & Pharmacy Management
- Maintain optimal stock levels for veterinary medicines, consumables, pet food & retail items.
- Ensure zero expiry and accurate stock audits.
- Coordinate with suppliers and maintain GRN documentation.
Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure accurate recording of medical and non-medical data in HIS (Hospital Information System).
- Maintain licenses (biowaste, drug license, etc.) and regulatory compliance.

- Support internal audits and implement corrective actions.
Marketing & Community Outreach
- Partner with marketing team for local promotions, pet events, adoption camps, and vaccination drives.
- Develop tie-ups with pet shops, breeders, and animal welfare communities.
Emergency & Crisis Handling
- Respond to medical emergencies and critical situations with quick decision-making and coordination.
- Ensure proper incident reporting and safety protocols for pets, staff & clients.
- Skills & Personality Traits
- Must be a pet lover with empathy and patience
- Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills
- Knowledge of veterinary operations preferred
- Proficiency in billing systems / MIS reports / basic finance
- Ability to multitask and perform under pressure
