Job Description
- As a Desktop Support Engineer - L1, your role involves troubleshooting desktop / laptop OS issues, providing support for standard software issues, isolating system issues, diagnosing standard software issues, and reporting hardware issues to respective Vendors. You will also be responsible for the installation, re-installation, and configuration of systems, printers, scanners, in-scope client software / applications, and e-mail clients. Additionally, you will troubleshoot e-mail client, printer, scanner, standard office software, and internet client related issues. Supporting local area network issues (LAN) and DHCP clients, installing antivirus software, patches, providing L1 Support for Meeting Room, and configuring appropriate rights and permissions for accessing printers are also key responsibilities. Furthermore, you will remove viruses from desktops / laptops, educate users on the usage of the Service Desk System for call logging.
Qualifications required for this role include a Diploma or Graduation in IT (15 years of education is mandatory) and typically having 1-2 years of work experience in desktop support, preferably in HP products in Customer base, account management, computer customer support, on-site customer support, Mission Critical, systems experience, or a related field.
