Role Description This full-time, on-site Business Development Manager role is based in Chandigarh, India. The role involves identifying and developing new business opportunities, including building relationships with individual customers, corporate clients, and distribution partners to expand the reach of HDFC Lifes products. Day-to-day responsibilities include meeting sales and revenue targets, promoting suitable life insurance solutions, conducting presentations and customer meetings, and maintaining a strong sales pipeline. The Business Development Manager will collaborate closely with branch teams, financial consultants, and regional leadership to implement sales strategies, track market trends, and support marketing and promotional activities. The role also includes regular reporting, compliance with company policies and regulatory guidelines, and providing ongoing service and support to existing clients to encourage renewals and cross-selling.

• Qualifications
• Demonstrated skills in business development, sales planning, and lead generation, with the ability to identify, pursue, and close new opportunities.
• Strong relationship management and customer service skills, including the ability to build trust, understand client needs, and offer suitable insurance solutions.
• Good communication and presentation skills, with proficiency in explaining financial products clearly and professionally to diverse audiences.
• Basic knowledge of insurance or financial services, including life insurance products such as protection, savings, investment, and retirement solutions.
• Proficiency in using MS Office and CRM or sales tracking tools to manage pipelines, generate reports, and analyze performance.
• Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field; a postgraduate qualification or relevant certifications in insurance or financial services are an advantage.
• Proven experience in sales or business development, preferably in insurance, banking, or financial services, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment, with strong planning, time management, and problem-solving capabilities.
