CAD Engineer/ Design Engineer Plastic Injection Moulding

Role & responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will focus on designing and optimising mechanical components and systems using CAD, CAM, and CAE tools. You will be responsible for creating precise 2D drawings, ensuring designs are manufacturable (DFM), and overseeing prototyping and 3D printing processes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on innovative products and bring concepts to life through advanced engineering and manufacturing techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and optimise mechanical components using CAD, CAM, and CAE tools.

• Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models for manufacturing.

• Oversee prototyping, including 3D printing, and ensure manufacturability with DFM practices.
  

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless product integration and testing.
• Documentation of designs, analysis, and processes Innovate with new materials and techniques, troubleshooting design and manufacturing challenges.

Preferred candidate profile

1-2 years of experience in mechanical design and product development.

Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD - Fusion 360) and CAM tools.

Experience with DFM techniques (for plastic injection moulding).

Hands-on experience with prototyping and 3D printing. Familiarity with creating detailed 2D drawings and 3D models.

Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and design optimization.

Problem-solving skills with attention to detail and creativity.

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
