As our Senior Lead Engineer , you’ll support success by:
A rewarding career at HID Global beckons you! We are looking for a Senior Lead Engineer – Data, who is responsible for developing data engineering platform for some of our Product Lines. You are accountable for design and development of new data engineering pipelines for the platform enabling key metrics and visualization for the business. Further, the Data Engineer will help decide how and implement improvements to pipelines, systems, and infrastructure. It is expected to have an in-depth understanding of data engineering best practices as well as expertise with the tools needed to debug and diagnose issue.

• Maintain an in-depth understanding of relevant data engineering best practices

Your Experience and Education include:
Exp -11 -14 yrs

• AWS: S3 Data Lake, Athena, Redshift, EMR, Glue, ECS


• Proficiency with Python in a data engineering context. Ex: Pandas, PySpark, Petl


• Source control using Git


• Proficiency with SQL


• Proficiency with workflow orchestration concepts


• Adaptable to Windows, Linux, and container-based deployment environments


• Workflow performance, scaling, and optimization. Big Data solutions in some cases.


• Security & privacy principals
  

Desired Skills & Qualifications

• Assembling large, complex sets of data that meet non-functional and functional business requirements


• Identifying, designing and implementing internal process improvements including re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, optimizing data delivery, and automating manual processes


• Building required infrastructure for optimal extraction, transformation and loading of data from various data sources using AWS and SQL technologies


• Building analytical tools to utilize the data pipeline, providing actionable insight into key business performance metrics including operational efficiency and customer acquisition


• Working with stakeholders including data, design, product and executive teams and assisting them with data-related technical issues


• Working with stakeholders including the Executive, Product, Data and Design teams to support their data infrastructure needs while assisting with data-related technical issues
