Principal Consultant - REACH & Data Architecture Enablement

We are looking for an experienced Principal Consultant REACH & Data Architecture Enablement with strong expertise in REACH regulatory requirements, data architecture, data governance, and regulatory compliance. The role will focus on translating complex regulatory requirements into scalable data and technology solutions while enabling effective data management, lineage, metadata, and governance across the enterprise.
The ideal candidate should be comfortable working with senior stakeholders, facilitating workshops, defining solution approaches, and bridging the gap between regulatory, business, data, and technology teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead analysis of REACH regulations and related regulatory requirements and assess their impact on business processes, data, and technology platforms.
- Translate regulatory and compliance requirements into data, system, and solution requirements.
- Define and support data architecture approaches that enable regulatory reporting, compliance, traceability, and data-driven decision-making.
- Establish and improve data management, governance, lineage, metadata, and data quality practices.
- Work with enterprise and data architects to align regulatory solutions with enterprise architecture principles and standards.
- Facilitate workshops with business, regulatory, data, technology, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and define target-state solutions.
- Identify data dependencies, information flows, ownership, and lineage required to support regulatory compliance.
- Develop conceptual and logical data models, data-flow views, architecture documentation, and regulatory data mappings where required.
- Assess existing data platforms and identify gaps in data availability, quality, lineage, governance, and compliance.
- Partner with technology and data engineering teams to translate architecture and regulatory requirements into implementable solutions.
- Support implementation of data governance frameworks, metadata structures, lineage practices, and data ownership models.
- Evaluate and recommend data platforms, governance approaches, and technology solutions suitable for regulatory and enterprise data requirements.
- Prepare high-quality business requirements, functional specifications, architecture documents, workshop outputs, and solution proposals.
- Support transformation programs and ensure regulatory data requirements are incorporated into delivery roadmaps and project plans.
- Provide guidance to project teams on regulatory interpretation, data architecture, governance, and solution design.
- Monitor regulatory and industry developments and assess their potential impact on enterprise data and technology capabilities.
- Drive continuous improvement in regulatory data processes, architecture, governance, and compliance enablement.
Required Skills & Experience:

- 8 - 10 years of experience in data architecture, data management, regulatory consulting, enterprise architecture, or related technology consulting roles.
- Strong expertise in REACH regulations and regulatory compliance frameworks.
- Proven experience translating regulatory requirements into data, application, and technology solutions.
- Strong understanding of data architecture, data management, data governance, metadata, data lineage, and data quality.
- Good understanding of enterprise architecture principles, data flows, information models, and integration concepts.
- Proven experience leading workshops, stakeholder discussions, requirement sessions, and facilitation activities.
- Strong ability to bridge business/regulatory requirements with data and technology teams.
- Experience creating architecture, process, data-flow, and functional documentation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and structured-thinking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and influence stakeholders across multiple functions.
