Plant Head - Steel Industry

Position Overview:
- The Plant Head will lead the overall operations of the Bobbili manufacturing facility, ensuring excellence in production, quality, safety, and timely delivery of structural steel and prefabricated building components.

- The role requires a strategic leader capable of managing end-to-end plant functions, optimizing productivity, ensuring cost efficiency, and driving continuous improvement across all operational areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily plant operations including fabrication, welding, assembly, painting, and dispatch activities.
- Ensure production targets are achieved within defined timelines, quality standards, and cost parameters.
- Implement and monitor production planning, process control, and resource optimization.

- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in productivity, safety, quality, and manpower utilization.
- Lead and develop a multi-disciplinary team across production, maintenance, quality, and logistics.
- Ensure strict adherence to QMS, EHS, and statutory compliance norms.
- Coordinate with design, procurement, and project management teams for seamless project execution.
- Maintain inventory control of raw materials and finished goods through efficient supply chain coordination.
- Oversee plant maintenance and infrastructure development to ensure equipment reliability and uptime.
- Support senior management in strategic planning, budgeting, and capacity expansion initiatives.
Key Deliverables (KPI's):
- Achievement of monthly/annual production & dispatch targets.
- Quality rejection rate within defined limits.
- Plant efficiency and cost reduction metrics.
- Zero accident and safety compliance record.
- On-time delivery performance for all projects.
- Employee productivity and retention rate.
Qualification & Experience:
- B.E./B.Tech (Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering) preferred.
- 16-30 years of experience in structural steel fabrication / PEB industry, with minimum 5 years in plant leadership role.
- Proven track record in managing medium to large-scale fabrication plants.
- Strong exposure to lean manufacturing, TPM, and 5S practices.
