Job Description

The ideal candidate (preferably female) will establish and maintain relationships with architects and designers (A&Ds) to promote Hunter Douglas products, secure specifications in projects, and generate business leads. Emphasize the transformative power of window coverings and blinds, highlighting Hunter Douglas as a global leader in this category particular strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead Generation & Relationship Building:

- Identify and engage with key designers and architects through various methods, including phone calls, networking, and referrals.

- Conduct regular visits to designers and architects to present Hunter Douglas products and organize seminars to extend business opportunities.

- Collaborate with A&Ds to incorporate Hunter Douglas products into project specifications.

- Build and nurture strong relationships at a senior level with principal architects to identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities.

2. Collaboration:

- Regularly visit dealers with the sales team to understand their challenges and needs, and coordinate relationships.

- Foster collaborative working relationships with sales leadership, area sales teams, and cross-functional strategic account teams to support market initiatives and achieve sales goals.

3.Market Penetration & Reporting:

- Monitor and report on sales performance, customer feedback, and market trends to management on a weekly and monthly basis.

- Promote and communicate Hunter Douglas products to A&D firms, maintaining a high degree of professionalism.

- Attend trade shows, events, and conferences to promote the Hunter Douglas brand and generate leads.

4. Customer Service & Reputation Management:

- Provide quality services to customers, helping to establish a strong reputation and positive brand image for Hunter Douglas.

- Ensure the timely and effective closure of business leads through persistent follow-up with clients and the sales team.

- Deliver market product penetration and promotion to drive architectural and design sales efforts.

5. Inspiration Centers & Event Hosting:

- Own and manage Hunter Douglas Inspiration Centers, leveraging them as key assets for converting architects.

- Host events, workshops, and presentations at Inspiration Centers to showcase products and engage with A&Ds.

- Utilize Inspiration Centers to create memorable experiences and demonstrate the transformative impact of Hunter Douglas window coverings and blinds.

Skills & Experience:

  • 5-6 years in architects specification function or key accounts, preferably from window coverings, blinds, sanitaryware, lighting, furniture, furnishing, tiles, or lock industries
