philanthropists in India and across the globe, and raising funds to meet its long-term growth aspirations. Such
offices are called Development Offices in universities of global repute.
We are seeking to appoint a Manager - Campaigns
SUMMARY OF THE OVERALL JOB
The Campaign Executive will support the planning, coordination, and execution of alumni engagement
campaigns at IIT Kanpur. The ideal candidate should have a flair for communication, basic knowledge of
digital campaigns, CRM software like Salesforce or ZOHO, email tools, WhatsApp business marketing tool
and a willingness to learn and grow in a mission-driven environment.
KEY FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES
SUPPORT IN CAMPAIGN PLANNING & EXECUTION
Assist in the execution of alumni engagement campaigns across email, WhatsApp, and digital
platforms.
Coordinate campaign calendars, content, and follow-ups for various institutional events and alumni
programs.
Ensure timely rollout of communication materials and backend coordination with internal teams.
Sharing timely reports and learning with the campaign manager.
TECHNICAL & TOOL KNOWLEDGE
Should have basic working knowledge of email marketing tools like Zoho Campaigns or similar.
Familiarity with WhatsApp Business campaigns (via Meta Business Manager) is a plus.
Willing to explore digital tools like Meta Ads, LinkedIn Ads, and analytics dashboards to support
campaign learning.
CONTENT COORDINATION & EMAIL MARKETING
Draft templates & content for the campaigns using email marketing tools.
Work with the communications and design teams to ensure messages are clear, relevant, and aligned
with campaign objectives.
Track performance of mailers (open rate, CTR, bounce rate) and report insights for future planning.
DATA ANALYTICS & TARGETING
Use data-driven insights to segment alumni and donors, and should be proficient in IMS Excel.
Collaborate with the data team to build dashboards and reports for campaign performance, donor

analysis, and alumni profiles.
Run A/B testing, monitor KPIs (CTR, conversion, open rate), and optimise content and targeting
strategies for improved outcomes.
DATA & PRESENTATION SUPPORT
Maintain campaign databases and alumni contact lists with accuracy and consistency.
Use Excel to clean, segment, and analyse data for campaign targeting and reports
Support in building presentations and campaign reports using PowerPoint for internal reviews and
documentation.
PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Detail-oriented, organised, and able to manage multiple deadlines.
Eager to learn, take initiative, and grow within the campaigns and alumni engagement space.
Open to working in a dynamic environment, including occasional travel or event support as required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
? Graduation; MBA (preferred)
? 2-3 years of relevant experience
