Position: Sr. Manager IT & Infrastructure

Location: IIT Kanpur Development Foundation (IITK DF), Kanpur

Responsibilities and Expectations

The Senior Manager IT & Infrastructure will lead the IT and infrastructure function at IITK DF, ensuring a secure, scalable, and efficient IT ecosystem while driving digital transformation, IT governance, and infrastructure management. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in IT strategy, automation, cybersecurity, system architecture, and process optimization, fostering innovation and operational excellence across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Digital Transformation and Automation

• Manage and enhance digital platforms, including the organization&aposs website and in-house applications.
• Drive digital transformation initiatives through automation tools, AI-driven solutions, workflow optimization, and Zoho CRM integration for seamless operations.

2. IT & Infrastructure Architecture

• Oversee the design, deployment, and management of IT infrastructure, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security.
• Optimize enterprise applications, cloud solutions, and IT infrastructure, consolidating legacy systems and implementing modern solutions using Zoho and its suite of products.
• Manage network infrastructure, server administration, and data center operations for uninterrupted business continuity.

3. IT Strategy & Governance

• Develop and execute a
  
  comprehensive IT strategy aligned with organizational goals.
• Establish robust governance frameworks, IT policies, SOPs, and compliance measures to ensure operational efficiency and data security.

4. IT Procurement & Vendor Management

• Oversee IT budgeting and expenditure, ensuring cost-effective technology investments.
• Lead vendor negotiations, contract management, and procurement processes, evaluating emerging technologies and securing optimal solutions for business needs.

5. IT Support & Troubleshooting

• Manage IT support operations, ensuring minimal downtime and seamless hardware/software functionality.
• Implement proactive IT service management strategies, including SLAs, performance tracking, and ticketing systems to reduce turnaround time (TAT) for issue resolution.

6. IT Security & Compliance

• Develop and maintain robust cybersecurity frameworks to protect organizational data and IT assets.
• Conduct regular security audits, risk assessments, and vulnerability testing, ensuring compliance with industry standards and data protection laws.

7. Performance Monitoring & IT Analytics

• Develop IT dashboards to track system performance, security metrics, and operational KPIs.
• Leverage analytics to drive strategic IT decisions, optimize resource allocation, and improve IT efficiency.

• Represent the IT function in strategic discussions, effectively communicating updates, challenges, and initiatives to stakeholders.

Desired Profile:

• Education: Bachelor&aposs/Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum 10+ years in IT management, with at least 3+ years in a senior leadership role.
• Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of Zoho One, cloud computing, cybersecurity, IT infrastructure, and automation tools.
• Soft Skills: Strong leadership, problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
