Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Sales Manager role based in Jammu. The Sales Manager will lead and develop a local sales team, drive business growth for general insurance products, and ensure achievement of sales targets and profitability goals. Responsibilities include managing key distribution partners and intermediaries, identifying new business opportunities, and implementing local sales strategies aligned with company objectives. The role involves monitoring market trends, conducting regular performance reviews, providing coaching and training to team members, and ensuring adherence to regulatory and company compliance standards. The Sales Manager will collaborate closely with operations, underwriting, and customer service teams to deliver a high-quality customer experience and strengthen brand presence in the region.

Qualifications

• Strong sales and business development skills, with experience in target-driven environments, preferably in insurance or financial services.
• Team leadership and people management capabilities, including coaching, performance management, and motivation of sales teams.
• Customer relationship management skills, with the ability to build and maintain partnerships with intermediaries, corporate clients, and retail customers.
• Market analysis and strategic planning skills to identify growth opportunities, optimize distribution channels, and execute regional sales plans.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with proficiency in English and local languages preferred.
• Strong organizational and analytical abilities, with comfort using CRM tools, sales dashboards, and basic MS Office applications.
• Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field; an MBA or relevant professional certification in insurance is an advantage.
• Prior experience in general insurance or BFSI sector and familiarity with local Jammu market dynamics will be beneficial.
