EPIC Ambulatory & My Chart Job Responsibilities
- System Build & Configuration: Customizing Epic modules, designing Smart Sets, and building clinical workflows.
- Workflow Analysis: Meeting with clinicians and leadership to identify bottlenecks and close workflow gaps.
- Troubleshooting & Maintenance & On call support: Investigating software issues, applying system updates, and providing tier-2 or tier-3 end-user support.
- Testing: Creating test scripts and running unit testing prior to go-lives and version upgrades.
- Training Support: Working alongside clinical educators to ensure documentation standards and proper software use.
- Certifications: Active EpicCare Ambulatory certification is usually required, with specialties like MyChart requested.
- Background: Typically requires a minimum of 6-8 years of Epic implementation or support experience, with a strong understanding of clinical environments.
