Here at Innov8 our team of highly experienced interior designers and decorators take the time to listen and understand the individual nature of each client and their project requirements, we work one on one to establish and develop an unique and personalized outcome.

We are seeking to hire a Buyer to join our team at Innov8. The Buyer needs to understand
the client's needs and wants and be able to analyze their evolving taste and style with all projects. Keep abreast of design trends and respond appropriately and anticipate/forecast future trends.

Responsibilities
 Manage opportunistic buying responsibility (based on vendors or classifications) and
accountability for sales and margin performance.
 Manages receipts in terms of balancing assortments and flexing from flow versus
pack away.
 Demonstrate fiscal responsibility in negotiating for pack-away goods to offset
additional costs of storing merchandise (e.g. additional dating, vendors holding
merchandise etc.).
 Provide on-going analysis and interpretation of key business issues. This includes
monitoring regional merchandise reports (i.e., Cold and Warm Strategies), Open-
to-Buy monitoring, stock analysis, and other ad hoc analysis.
 Proactively networks with vendors regarding available merchandise and will
negotiate directly on purchases. This includes frequent visits to showrooms,
selecting products and handling negotiations, either independently or in conjunction
with their supervisor.
 Keep abreast with changing design trends, and
labels.

Salary:

• $45,000-$65,000 commensurate on experience

Qualifications

Desired Skills And Qualifications
 Has a minimum of 2 – 4 years interior design buying experience.
 Must have extensive vendor negotiation and interaction.
 Experience with close-out or opportunistic buying preferred.
 Possess thorough knowledge of merchandising and technical aspects of
merchandising.
 Strong negotiation skills.
 Strong analytical and conceptual skills.
 Recent experience in product categories.
 Ability to partner and influence vendors/cross-functional partners.
 Possess Strong written and verbal communication skills.
 Strong retail math skills.
 Possess Strong PC skills, with an emphasis on spreadsheet applications.
