Job Title: Software Tester (12 Years Experience)

Location: Partial Remote Travel to client location (Chennai) required on a need basis

Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Software Tester with 12 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of software applications through manual and/or automated testing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Understand project requirements and create and document test scenarios, test cases, and test data
• Execute manual and/or automated test cases and analyze results
  
• Identify, report, and track defects using bug tracking tools
• Collaborate with developers and product teams to resolve issues
• Perform regression, functional, integration, and system testing
• Ensure timely delivery of high-quality software
• Participate in requirement reviews and provide feedback from a QA perspective

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 12 years of experience in software testing (manual or automation)
• Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and SDLC
• Experience in writing clear and concise test cases
• Familiarity with bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla)
• Basic knowledge of SQL for database testing
• Good understanding of web and/or mobile application testing
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and teamwork skills

Preferred Skills (Good to Have):

• Exposure to automation tools (e.g., JMeter, Selenium)
• Knowledge of API testing tools (e.g., Postman)
• Basic programming knowledge (Java/Python)
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments

Education:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
