Job Description
- Lead the organization's end-to-end people strategy, aligning HR practices with business objectives to drive performance, culture, and sustainable growth.
- This role is both strategic and operational, responsible for shaping workforce planning, leadership development, compliance, employee engagement, and HR transformation initiatives.
- The GM-HR will act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and play a critical role in building a high-performing, future-ready organization.
HR Strategy & Leadership:
- Define and execute the overall HR strategy aligned with organizational goals and long-term business plans.
- Partner with the executive leadership team to provide strategic input on organizational design, workforce planning, and succession management.
- Lead and mentor the HR leadership team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Drive HR transformation initiatives including digitization, process optimization, and adoption of best practices.
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning:
- Develop robust talent acquisition strategies to attract, assess, and retain high-quality talent across levels.
- Oversee manpower planning, budgeting, and forecasting in line with business expansion and operational needs.
- Ensure employer branding initiatives strengthen the organization's market positioning as an employer of choice.
- Implement structured onboarding programs to accelerate new hire productivity and engagement.
Performance Management & Capability Development:
- Design and oversee performance management frameworks, including goal setting, appraisal cycles, and reward linkages.
- Lead leadership development, competency mapping, and succession planning programs.
- Identify skill gaps and implement learning & development initiatives aligned with current and future business needs.
- Promote a strong feedback culture and continuous performance improvement.
Compensation, Benefits & Rewards:
- Develop and govern competitive compensation and benefits structures aligned with market benchmarks and internal equity.
- Oversee salary reviews, incentive plans, and variable pay programs.
- Ensure cost optimization while maintaining employee motivation and retention.
- Partner with finance and leadership on compensation planning and workforce cost management.
Employee Relations & Engagement:
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performance work culture.
- Address employee relations issues, grievance handling, and conflict resolution in a fair and timely manner.
- Drive employee engagement surveys and action plans to improve morale and retention.
- Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives across the organization.
HR Operations & Compliance:
- Ensure full compliance with labor laws, statutory regulations, and company policies.
- Oversee HR operations including payroll governance, HRMS, policies, audits, and documentation.

- Mitigate people-related risks and ensure ethical HR practices.
Organizational Culture & Change Management:
- Act as a change leader during organizational restructuring, mergers, expansions, or policy changes.
- Embed organizational values and culture across all employee touchpoints.
- Support leadership in driving change communication and adoption.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong strategic thinking with hands-on HR leadership experience
- Deep knowledge of labor laws, HR compliance, and best practices
- Expertise in talent management, leadership development, and succession planning
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- High emotional intelligence with exceptional communication skills
- Experience in HR digitization and HRMS implementation
Educational Qualifications;
- Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or a related field
- Relevant HR certifications (SHRM, CIPD, or equivalent) will be an added advantage
