Your challenge:
As a SQL Database Engineer, you will join our growing Engineering team. You will work with teams of engineers to help them all learn, grow and succeed. You will provide technical leadership to the team and hold accountability for technical decisions.

Skills we’re looking for:

• Strong knowledge in database management and infrastructure engineering
• Extensive experience with at least one RDBMS: MS Sql Server, Oracle etc.

• Experienced in creating, optimizing, and troubleshooting procedures/functions/UDF’s (T-SQL, PL/SQL etc.,)

• Familiarity with state-of-the-art DB technologies and tradeoffs: distributed DBs, time-series DBs, columnar storage
• Knowledge and experience with Linux, must be comfortable using Linux/UNIX command line tools
• Solid scripting, performance troubleshooting, and networking knowledge
• Exceptional communication skills - this role will require cross-collaboration with various stakeholders across DHC
• Well versed in software development methodologies, testing, release management, and maintenance. take pride in optimizing and cleaning code, and leave a program in a better shape than you found it
• Good knowledge of DevOps and CI practices
• Excellent troubleshooting skills. Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and find opportunities for improvement.
