A Placement Officer plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between educational institutions and industry. They develop and maintain relationships with employers to secure job opportunities for students, organize placement drives, and provide guidance on interview techniques and career planning. They are responsible for managing placement-related logistics, ensuring students are well-prepared, and supporting them in achieving successful placements. The role requires excellent communication, organizational skills, and a strong understanding of industry trends.

Roles & responsibilities :-

• Collaborate and promote Career Planning through in-class presentations, student organization outreach, New Student Orientation etc
• Inform students regarding the interview schedule by mail.
• Coordinate with students and companies and align interviews.
• Help students identify employment options that match their career interests.
• Assist students in all aspects of the job search including resume writing, interviewing techniques and job openings.
• Schedule and follow up on student interviews with prospective employers.
• Provide targeted career information and resources for specific majors and interest groups to students and alumni as needed.
• Identify the number and types of positions needed for Itvedant.
  
• Assist with maintaining employer database(s). Maintain student files as needed. Submit a monthly report.
• Visit the corporate office and enquire about the vacancies and refer our students.
