: Juniper Network Engineer Leaf and Spine Data Center Expert

Position Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned Juniper Network Engineerwith deep expertise in Leaf-Spine architectureand advanced Juniper networking technologies. This role involves designing, configuring, and maintaining scalable, high-performance data center networks with a focus on VXLAN EVPN, MLAG, and dynamic routing protocols like BGPand OSPF. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Juniper devices and a strong understanding of modern data center networking principles.

Key Responsibilities:

Juniper-Based Leaf and Spine Architecture

• Design and implement leaf and spine network topologiesusing Juniper switches.
• Configure and manage leaf and spine rolesto optimize network performance and scalability.

VXLAN EVPN Deployment

• Implement and manage VXLAN EVPNfor overlay networks in data center environments.
• Configure the data planefor multi-tenancy, segmentation, and seamless virtualization.
  

MLAG Configuration

• Set up and maintain Multi-Chassis Link Aggregation (MLAG)for redundancy and fault tolerance across Juniper devices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve MLAG-related issues to ensure uninterrupted network operations.

IP Address Management (IPAM)

• Assign and manage IP addresses for uplinks in alignment with the IPAM design.
• Ensure proper documentation and IP allocation for current and future network expansions.

Dynamic Routing Protocols

• Configure and optimize dynamic routing protocols(e.g., BGP, OSPF) on Juniper platforms.
• Monitor routing tables, analyze traffic patterns, and ensure redundancy and reliability in the network.

Network Automation and Optimization

• Leverage Junos automationtools (e.g., Junos PyEZ, Ansible) for configuration and troubleshooting.
• Optimize traffic flow, implement QoS policies, and enhance network efficiency.

Documentation and Collaboration

• Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation, including configurations, topology diagrams, and operational guides.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure networking solutions align with overall infrastructure goals.

Required Skills and Experience:

Technical Expertise:

• Extensive knowledge of Juniper networking technologiesand platforms (e.g., QFX Series, EX Series, MX Series).
• Expertise in Leaf-Spine architecture, VXLAN EVPN, and MLAGdeployment.
• Strong understanding of BGP, OSPF, and other dynamic routing protocols.

Certifications (Preferred):

• Juniper Networks Certified Internet Professional (JNCIP)or Expert (JNCIE)in Data Center or Enterprise Routing and Switching.
• Additional certifications in network automation or SDN are a plus.

Automation and Tools:

• Experience with Junos OSscripting and automation frameworks.
• Familiarity with tools like Ansible, Python, and Netconf/Yang for network automation.

Soft Skills:

• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, mission-critical environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Juniper Contrailor other SDN platforms.
• Familiarity with hybrid and multi-cloud networking.
• Knowledge of data center interconnects (DCI) and advanced IP Clos designs.
