Purchase Head - Procurement/Supply Chain Management - Manufacturing/HVAC Firm

It involves managing processes such as procurement, production, logistics, inventory, and distribution to ensure efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and customer satisfaction throughout the supply chain.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and communicate the long-term vision, goals, and objectives for the supply chain that align with the overall business strategy.
- Create a roadmap for achieving these objectives and continuously review and update the supply chain strategy to adapt to changing market conditions.
- Implement effective inventory management strategies to balance supply and demand, minimize carrying costs, and reduce stockouts or excess inventory.
- To procure good quality raw materials, bought-out parts, and imports on time
- To purchase auxiliary items
- To negotiate and settle prices

- To develop sub-contractors
- To initiate cost reduction activities
- To establish the minimum/maximum level of raw material/BOPs
- To monitor and improve the PO releasing lead time and the material procurement lead time
- To monitor and review subcontractors' performance through periodic review.
- To coordinate between PPC and Production for the smooth functioning of all operations
- To monitor suppliers' rating - OTD & FPY rates
- To control inventories.
Profile:
- Experience level - Min 15yrs+ in Purchase from Manufacturing/ HVAC industry
- The position will head the Purchase Function for the India Plant, reporting to the Operations Director, while 4 people will be reporting to him.
- Should have ERP experience/IT savvy
- Experience of Import
- Preferred industry will be HVAC or similar
- Strong & Dynamic with good Leadership & collaboration skills
- Ability to work in tough timelines/go that extra mile.
- Should have a good Ethics & Integrity level
