What role will you play in the team

You will play a pivotal role in our elite investment banking advisory team based in Mumbai. Your primary objective will be supporting senior dealmakers by constructing robust financial models, executing rigorous valuation exercises, and preparing comprehensive pitch books for prospective mergers, acquisitions, and capital raising mandates across diverse industrial sectors in the Indian subcontinent.

What you will do

You will dive deep into analyzing historical financial statements, building dynamic three-statement projections, and executing discounted cash flow analyses. Your daily routine involves interacting with cross-functional deal teams, synthesizing complex market research, and utilizing advanced terminals to extract real-time financial data to support live transaction execution seamlessly.

Key responsibility

• Develop and maintain complex financial models including DCF, LBO, and merger consequences models from scratch with immaculate accuracy.
• Perform comprehensive Comparable Company Analysis and precedent transaction analysis using top-tier market data platforms.
• Draft pitch books, confidential information memorandums, and management presentations for prospective M&A mandates.
• Conduct thorough financial due diligence by examining company filings, debt schedules, and working capital trends.
• Collaborate closely with senior associates and vice presidents to streamline deal execution timelines and client deliverables.
• Monitor capital markets activity and prepare regular briefing notes on macroeconomic trends impacting valuations.

Required Qualification and Skills

• Possession of a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Commerce, or a related quantitative discipline from a premier institution.
• Demonstrated expertise in advanced Excel, financial modeling, and building automated valuation tools using macros and VBA.
• Hands-on operational familiarity with professional market intelligence platforms such as Bloomberg Terminal, Capital IQ, and FactSet.
• Comprehensive theoretical and practical understanding of corporate finance principles, valuation techniques, and accounting standards.
• Exceptional analytical aptitude combined with stellar written and verbal communication skills for effective stakeholder management.
• Prior internship experience or targeted project work within investment banking, corporate finance, or private equity environments.
