What role will you play in the team

You will serve as a critical pillar within our elite investment banking advisory division based in Kochi. Your primary objective will be to architect, analyze, and execute complex leveraged buyout transactions and intricate capital structure strategies for mid-to-large-cap corporate clients. You will collaborate directly with senior dealmakers, managing directors, and private equity sponsors to evaluate debt capacities, optimize capital stacks, and formulate comprehensive financial strategies that maximize shareholder value during high-stakes mergers, acquisitions, and corporate restructuring mandates.

What you will do

Your day-to-day operations will revolve around rigorous financial modeling, covenant analysis, and debt sizing simulations. You will lead the creation of granular LBO models, debt amortization schedules, and pro-forma balance sheets. Furthermore, you will interface with rating agencies, commercial banks, and institutional debt providers to negotiate term sheets, secure financing commitments, and ensure seamless execution of credit facilities underpinning major private equity acquisitions across diverse industrial sectors in the domestic and international markets.

Key responsibility

• Construct dynamic, multi-layer LBO models incorporating complex tax assumptions, working capital adjustments, and multiple exit scenarios using advanced Excel Macros & VBA to ensure computational accuracy.
• Perform exhaustive comparable company analysis and precedent transaction reviews utilizing Capital IQ, PitchBook, and Dealogic platforms to benchmark valuation multiples and debt-to-EBITDA ratios.
• Draft comprehensive confidential information memorandums, board presentation decks, and pitch books detailing strategic rationale, valuation findings, and debt financing structures for client deliberation.
• Coordinate seamlessly with legal counsel, accounting firms, and tax consultants during financial due diligence to identify potential deal breakers and structure mitigating risk clauses.
• Analyze macroeconomic debt market conditions, interest rate trends, and yield curve fluctuations using Bloomberg Terminal and Eikon to advise clients on optimal timing for debt issuance.
• Evaluate sponsor returns, internal rates of return (IRR), and cash-on-cash multiples across varying leverage entry points and operational turnaround timelines.

Required Qualification and Skills

• Possession of a Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, or an MBA from a premier business institution alongside a rigorous foundation in corporate finance principles.
• Demonstrated hands-on expertise with advanced financial modeling tools, LBO modeling, Valuation Techniques, DCF, and capital markets platforms.
• In-depth operational proficiency in utilizing Bloomberg Terminal, Capital IQ, PitchBook, Dealogic, Eikon, and Excel Macros & VBA for quantitative analysis.
• Minimum of 0 to 1 years of intensive professional experience within investment banking divisions, leveraged finance groups, or boutique corporate finance advisory firms.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to synthesize complex financial data into concise executive summaries and client presentations.
• Strong quantitative aptitude, unwavering attention to detail, and the capacity to thrive under tight deadlines within high-pressure transaction execution environments.

Your day begins with a morning market briefing reviewing overnight debt market movements and leveraged loan pricing via Bloomberg Terminal and Eikon. You then dive into updating a complex LBO model for a live cross-border acquisition, adjusting interest rate sensitivities and tax shield assumptions. Post-lunch, you participate in a syndication strategy sync with senior syndicate desks, reviewing feedback from institutional lenders. The afternoon is dedicated to refining pitch book slides and verifying valuation outputs using Capital IQ before presenting draft models to the managing director.
