What role will you play in the team

As a Private Equity FactSet and Dealogic Transaction Intelligence Analyst stationed in our Pune office, you will serve as the analytical engine driving our investment committee's origination and screening workflows. You will specialize in leveraging specialized market intelligence platforms to track proprietary deal flows, screen prospective target companies, and perform deep-dive competitive benchmarking across diverse industry sectors to identify lucrative buyout opportunities.

What you will do

You will harness advanced analytics tools like FactSet and Dealogic to monitor capital market trends, evaluate sponsor-backed transaction volumes, and compile comprehensive screening reports. Your role requires meticulous attention to detail as you track private equity dry powder allocations, map competitor portfolios, and generate data-driven memorandums that directly influence our fund's capital deployment strategies and investment theses.

Key responsibility

• Leverage Dealogic and FactSet platforms daily to source, track, and analyze global M&A and private equity deal flows.
• Compile comprehensive market intelligence reports highlighting sector consolidation trends, valuation multiples, and competitor positioning.
• Conduct deep-dive quantitative screening of target companies based on proprietary fund investment criteria and financial thresholds.
• Partner with deal leads to construct initial investment thesis decks backed by empirical market data and transaction precedent analysis.
• Monitor macroeconomic indicators, regulatory shifts, and debt financing availability impacting private equity deal structures.
• Maintain and update internal proprietary databases containing historical transaction comparables and sponsor activity logs.
• Assist in preparing rigorous quarterly portfolio review presentations for Limited Partners (LPs) using quantitative performance metrics.

Required Qualification and Skills

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Quantitative Finance, Financial Engineering, or a related rigorous analytical discipline.
• Demonstrate 0-1 years of direct experience in private equity research, investment banking analytics, or financial data intelligence.
• Demonstrated expertise working with Dealogic, FactSet, PitchBook, and advanced Excel macros & VBA.
• Solid understanding of valuation techniques, financial statement analysis, and comparable company analysis.
• Strong quantitative aptitude with the ability to process, clean, and visualize large financial datasets efficiently.
• Excellent organizational skills with a proven track record of managing multiple research mandates concurrently under strict deadlines.
• High ethical standards, professional discretion, and meticulous attention to detail in handling confidential fund data.
