Job Summary:
We are looking for a motivated and detail oriented US GAAP Accountant to join our accounting team. This role is open to freshers and early career professionals who are keen to build a long term career in accounting and financial reporting. The position offers hands on exposure to US GAAP accounting, month end close processes, and real world financial operations for US based entities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in maintaining books of accounts in accordance with US GAAP.
- Support preparation and posting of journal entries and assist in month end and year end closing activities.
- Perform bank, general ledger, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Assist in preparation of financial statements, schedules, and internal management reports.
- Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, and intercompany accounting activities.
- Review open items and assist in resolving discrepancies in coordination with internal teams.
- Maintain accounting documentation and support audit and compliance requirements.
- Use MS Excel and accounting systems for data analysis and reporting.
- Follow internal controls, accounting policies, and reporting timelines.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Freshers or candidates with up to 2 years of experience in accounting are welcome to apply.
- Strong interest in building a long term career in accounting and financial reporting.
- Basic understanding of accounting concepts and US GAAP fundamentals.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and other MS Office tools.
- Basic working knowledge of accounting software or ERP systems is preferred but not mandatory.
- Prior internship or academic exposure to accounting is an added advantage.
