Accountant

The Accountant will be responsible for managing and overseeing financial transactions specific to the real estate and construction sector. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in accounting within these industries, strong analytical skills, and a thorough understanding of relevant financial regulations.
Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry-specific regulations.
• Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
• Conduct project cost tracking and reporting, ensuring accurate allocation of costs and timely invoicing.
• Oversee the preparation of project budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
• Perform bank reconciliations and manage cash flow.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Coordinate with project managers and other stakeholders to gather financial data and insights.
• Prepare tax returns and ensure timely filing in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with external auditors and provide necessary documentation for audits.
• 
  Assist in the preparation of financial reports for management review.
• Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and project expenses.
• Provide financial analysis and support for decision-making processes.
  

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional accounting certification (e.g., CA, CPA, CMA) preferred.
• 5 - 15 years of accounting experience, specifically in the real estate or construction industry.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting specific to real estate and construction.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP) and ERP systems.
• Advanced MS Excel skills.
