Logistics Manager

Position: Sr. Manager Logistics

Location: Head Office

Reporting To: Head-Gresbond

Role Objective

To lead and optimize end-to-end logistics operations for Gresbond Tile Adhesives, ensuring seamless transportation of finished products from in-house/outsourced manufacturing units to the business partners warehouse/project sites.

Key Responsibilities

1. Transportation & Distribution Management

• Ensure cost-effective dispatch of finished goods to channel partners warehouse within the permissible TAT.
• Bring in place an effective route planning and full-truck load optimization
• Monitor transit performance, Turn Around Time (TAT), and on-time delivery (OTD).
  

2. Transportation Management System (TMS) & Digital Control

• Lead implementation and optimization of Transportation Management System (TMS).
• Ensure real-time tracking of shipments and vehicle movement.
• Drive digital integration between SAP, plant dispatch, and logistics systems.
• Maintain dashboard reporting on freight cost, delays, detention, and service levels.

3. Plant-to-Finished Goods Coordination

• Coordinate closely with plant production team for dispatch planning.
• Manage documentation, e-way bills, invoicing alignment, and compliance.

4. System & Process Management (Cement / Adhesive Plant Logistics)

• Ensure proper SAP transaction flow from production to dispatch.
• Maintain dispatch planning discipline aligned with plant batching cycles.
• Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for loading, weighbridge control, and gate management.

5. Cost Control & Efficiency

• Manage logistics budget and freight spend through effective negotiations with service providers
• Conduct periodic freight benchmarking and contract renegotiation.
• Improve vehicle utilization and route efficiency.

6. Stakeholder & Team Management

• Lead and develop logistics team at plant and regional level.
• Coordinate with Sales, Finance, Procurement, and Operations teams.

Qualifications & Experience

• MBA (Supply Chain /Operations preferred)
• 10+ years experience in logistics
• Experience in TMS implementation
