About the Role

Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of plant machinery and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and utility-related breakdowns.
• Ensure maximum machine availability and minimize downtime and maintenance losses.
• Plan and execute preventive maintenance schedules and ensure timely closure.
• Coordinate with Production for maintenance activities with minimum operational disruption.
• Maintain maintenance records, breakdown reports, MTBF, MTTR, and equipment history.
• Manage critical spares and coordinate with MRO Purchase and Stores for availability.
• Coordinate with external vendors for equipment servicing, repairs, and AMC activities.
• Support installation, commissioning, and modification of new machinery and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with safety, SOPs, 5S, and maintenance standards.
• Identify recurring failures and implement root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Drive maintenance improvement initiatives to improve equipment reliability and energy efficiency.

Preferred Background

• 5–8 years of experience in plant maintenance, preferably in cosmetics, FMCG, pharma, chemical, or manufacturing.
• B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Mechatronics / related engineering field.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of mechanical and electrical maintenance.
• Experience with production machinery, utilities, pumps, compressors, HVAC, conveyors, and automation systems.
• Knowledge of PLC, VFD, sensors, pneumatics, and basic instrumentation will be preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with CMMS/ERP/SAP will be an advantage.

Desirable Experience

• Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Exposure to utility systems and preventive maintenance planning.
• Experience in handling maintenance teams and external contractors.
• Strong understanding of RCA, TPM, 5S, Kaizen, MTBF, and MTTR.
