Assistant Manager

Role :

• The Assistant Manager - Maintenance is responsible for supporting the Maintenance Manager in ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of all machinery, equipment, and facilities. This role involves supervising maintenance staff, managing preventive maintenance schedules, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities :

• Assist in planning and implementing preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
• Supervise day-to-day maintenance operations, ensuring timely resolution of breakdowns and equipment issues.
  
• Coordinate with production and other departments to schedule maintenance without disrupting operations.
• Lead a team of technicians and provide technical guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
• Maintain proper documentation of maintenance activities, equipment history, and spare parts inventory.
• Ensure compliance with health safety, and environmental regulations.
• Monitor the condition of critical equipment and recommend upgrades or replacements as necessary.
• Support cost-saving initiatives and improve maintenance efficiency.
• Assist in vendor management for procurement of spare parts and external services.
• Generate maintenance reports and KPIs for management review.

Preferred candidate profile

• Strong knowledge of mechanical/electrical systems and industrial equipment.
• Proficiency in reading technical drawings and manuals.
• Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and team management abilities.
• Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
• Knowledge of safety standards (OSHA, ISO, etc.).
