Job Title: OMS Practice Head
Location: Bangalore- Onsite
Job Type: Full time
Experience: 12+ years (Minimum 7+ years in KIBO OMS and Sterling OMS)

Experience
12+ years of overall IT experience, including 7+ years of specialized experience in Order Management Systems (OMS), with strong hands-on expertise in KIBO Order Management and Sterling OMS.
Mandatory Experience
    • 2–3+ end-to-end KIBO OMS implementations in an Architect, Technical Lead, Solution Lead, or equivalent senior role.
    • Strong hands-on experience with Sterling OMS, including complex enterprise implementations.
    • Proven experience in Sterling OMS to KIBO OMS modernization/migration, including assessment, capability mapping, data migration, integration migration, testing, cutover, and go-live.
    • Proven track record of building, managing, and growing an OMS practice.
    • Experience managing large, distributed technical teams across multiple projects and customers.
    • Strong expertise in Retail, eCommerce, Omnichannel Commerce, Distributed Order Management, and Marketplace environments.
    • Strong client-facing experience with enterprise architects, technology leaders, business stakeholders, and C-level executives.
    • Experience supporting RFP/RFI/RFQ, pre-sales, solutioning, estimation, and business development activities.

Role Overview
The OMS Practice Head will be responsible for establishing, scaling, and leading the organization's KIBO and Sterling OMS practice.
The role combines practice leadership, technology strategy, solution architecture, delivery governance, client advisory, pre-sales, business development, talent development, and reusable IP creation.
The Practice Head will define the OMS technology and delivery strategy, establish implementation standards and frameworks, build a strong OMS talent pool, develop reusable accelerators, lead strategic customer engagements, support sales and pre-sales, and provide architecture and delivery oversight across OMS programs.
A key responsibility will be to establish a differentiated Sterling OMS → KIBO OMS modernization capability, including assessment, business capability mapping, architecture modernization, data migration, integration migration, testing, cutover, and reusable migration accelerators.

Key Responsibilities
1. OMS Practice Leadership
    • Define and execute the overall OMS practice strategy, roadmap, and growth plan.
    • Establish and scale KIBO and Sterling OMS capabilities across architecture, development, integration, testing, DevOps, implementation, and managed services.
    • Define standardized OMS delivery methodologies, frameworks, governance models, and implementation patterns.
    • Establish architecture, development, integration, testing, deployment, security, and support standards.
    • Build and maintain a strong OMS talent pool through hiring, training, mentoring, certification, and career development.
    • Establish competency frameworks and career paths for OMS Architects, Technical Leads, Developers, Consultants, and Business Analysts.
    • Drive internal KIBO and Sterling OMS enablement programs, technical communities, workshops, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
    • Track KIBO and Sterling product/platform evolution and translate new capabilities into service offerings and accelerators.
    • Define and evolve the OMS practice operating model, including resource planning, utilization, capability development, and delivery quality.
2. OMS Solution & Architecture Leadership
    • Provide architecture oversight across multiple KIBO and Sterling OMS implementations.
    • Define enterprise-scale OMS reference architectures, solution patterns, and implementation blueprints.
    • Review and approve HLD, LLD, integration architecture, data architecture, and technical designs.
    • Guide teams across:
    • Order orchestration
    • Order sourcing
    • Inventory availability
    • Fulfillment
    • Shipment management
    • Returns and reverse logistics
    • Order modification and cancellation
    • Omnichannel fulfillment
    • BOPIS / Click & Collect
    • Ship-from-store
    • Split orders
    • Backorders
    • Distributed fulfillment
    • Marketplace order management
    • Ensure solutions meet enterprise requirements for scalability, security, performance, availability, resiliency, observability, and maintainability.
    • Provide technical leadership for complex architecture decisions and cross-system dependencies.
3. Sterling OMS → KIBO OMS Modernization
Establish the organization's Sterling OMS modernization and migration capability.
Responsibilities include:
    • Lead assessments of existing Sterling OMS implementations.
    • Analyze customizations, extensions, integrations, business rules, and technical debt.
    • Perform Sterling business capability → KIBO capability mapping.
    • Define modernization strategies and target-state KIBO architectures.
    • Establish reusable methodologies for:
    • Sterling OMS assessment
    • Business capability assessment
    • Customization assessment
    • KIBO capability mapping
    • Integration assessment
    • Data migration
    • Order history migration
    • API migration
    • Event migration
    • Testing and reconciliation
    • Cutover and rollback
    • Define source-to-target data mapping standards.
    • Establish migration validation, reconciliation, and data-quality processes.
    • Lead mock migrations, migration rehearsals, cutover planning, and production migration.
    • Develop reusable Sterling-to-KIBO migration frameworks, tools, templates, and accelerators.
    • Identify opportunities to reduce migration complexity, implementation timelines, and delivery costs.
4. Client & Executive Stakeholder Leadership
    • Act as the OMS Subject Matter Expert and strategic advisor for key customers.
    • Engage with CIOs, CTOs, Enterprise Architects, Product Owners, and business stakeholders.
    • Lead OMS discovery and transformation workshops.
    • Assess existing OMS landscapes and define target-state modernization roadmaps.
    • Translate business requirements into scalable OMS solutions.
    • Provide executive-level technical presentations, recommendations, and solution roadmaps.
    • Lead architecture and technology discussions for strategic accounts.
    • Build trusted technical relationships with customers and technology partners.
5. Pre-Sales & Business Development
    • Lead OMS-related RFP, RFI, RFQ, proposal, and solutioning activities.
    • Participate in client presentations, discovery workshops, technical discussions, and demonstrations.
    • Define solution approaches, architecture, estimates, staffing models, timelines, and implementation roadmaps.
    • Develop reusable OMS offerings, propositions, sales collateral, and solution accelerators.
    • Identify and support opportunities in:
    • KIBO OMS implementations
    • Sterling OMS modernization
    • Sterling-to-KIBO migrations
    • Omnichannel transformation
    • Marketplace OMS
    • OMS optimization
    • OMS enhancements
    • OMS managed services
    • OMS assessment and advisory
    • Partner with Sales and Account teams to develop and grow the OMS pipeline.
    • Support strategic partnerships with KIBO, IBM/Sterling, cloud providers, integration platforms, and other ecosystem partners.
    • Support commercial discussions including estimation, pricing, staffing, and delivery models.
6. Delivery Governance & Quality
    • Provide technical and architectural governance across OMS programs.
    • Establish OMS architecture review boards and quality gates.
    • Review project health, architecture decisions, technical risks, dependencies, and delivery issues.
    • Ensure projects follow defined OMS implementation and engineering standards.
    • Review critical technical decisions and provide guidance on resolution of complex issues.
    • Support major production incidents, go-live decisions, and post-production reviews.
    • Drive continuous improvement across OMS delivery methodology and quality.
7. Practice Assets, IP & Accelerators
Build and continuously enhance reusable OMS intellectual property, including:
    • KIBO OMS Reference Architecture
    • KIBO OMS Implementation Framework
    • Sterling OMS Reference Architecture
    • Sterling OMS Implementation Framework
    • Sterling-to-KIBO Migration Framework
    • KIBO-to-Sterling Migration Framework, where applicable
    • Sterling-to-KIBO Business Capability Mapping Framework
    • Data Migration Framework
    • Source-to-Target Data Mapping Templates
    • Integration/API Frameworks
    • OMS Assessment Framework
    • OMS Estimation Models
    • Solution and Implementation Templates

Required Technical Skills
    • Strong hands-on expertise in KIBO Order Management and Sterling OMS.
    • 2+ successful KIBO OMS implementations, preferably including complex enterprise/omnichannel programs.
    • Strong Sterling OMS implementation experience.
    • Practical experience with Sterling OMS → KIBO OMS modernization/migration.
    • Strong knowledge of Distributed Order Management and Omnichannel Fulfillment.
    • Strong API and integration architecture expertise.
    • REST, JSON, XML, event-driven architecture, messaging, and asynchronous integration.
    • Strong data migration and ETL experience.
    • SQL and relational database knowledge.
    • Cloud and microservices architecture.

The ideal candidate is an OMS thought leader, hands-on architect, and practice builder who combines deep technical expertise with strong business and leadership capabilities.
The candidate should have successfully delivered multiple KIBO and/or Sterling OMS implementations, possess strong knowledge of enterprise OMS architecture, and have practical experience with Sterling OMS modernization and migration to KIBO OMS.
The candidate must be comfortable operating across:
Technology Strategy → Solution Architecture → Delivery Governance → Client Advisory → Pre-Sales → Practice Growth → Talent Development → IP & Accelerator Development
The successful candidate should demonstrate the ability to build an OMS practice from the ground up, create differentiated KIBO/Sterling capabilities, develop strategic customer relationships, grow the OMS business, and establish the organization as a credible OMS transformation partner.
