Role Overview
We are seeking a seasoned GST Domain Expert to join our Government and Public Sector Advisory team in Guwahati. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in GST analytics, policy interpretation, and reform consulting, particularly in collaboration with State Commercial Taxes Departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support GST-related advisory engagements with government clients, particularly the Commercial Taxes Department.

- Interpret and apply provisions of the GST Act and Rules to support policy and operational decision-making.
- Design and implement scrutiny parameters and risk-based audit frameworks for GST compliance.
- Conduct GST data analytics to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for revenue enhancement and compliance improvement.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to drive reform initiatives and digital transformation in tax administration.
- Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and policy briefs for senior government officials and decision-makers.
- Ensure alignment of project deliverables with client expectations, timelines, and quality standards.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in GST advisory, reform consulting, or analytics with a State Commercial Taxes Department.
- Strong understanding of GST legislation, rules, and compliance frameworks.
- Experience in designing audit and scrutiny parameters for GST assessments.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and lead project teams in a dynamic, client-facing environment.
Preferred Attributes:
- Prior experience in government consulting or public sector transformation projects.
- Exposure to digital tools and platforms used in tax analytics and administration.
- Strong documentation and presentation skills for high-level government engagements.
