Job Description
- As a Manager, Operations, your role will involve overseeing day-to-day operations with a focus on maritime operations. Your responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating agency appointments and reviewing PDAs and FDAs.
- Communicating with charterers, brokers, agents, and vessels regarding voyage orders and itineraries.
- Planning, preparing, and circulating loading & discharging operations, ensuring efficient turnaround in ports.
- Monitoring vessel movements, performances, and hold cleaning plans.
- Reviewing and preparing cargo stowage plans for optimal cargo liftings.
- Handling bunker supplies, claims, and liaising with P&I clubs and legal teams.
- Attending vessels to supervise cargo operations during critical shipments.
- Performing cost control procedures for voyage expenses and verifying bills.
- Supporting the Chartering team for potential shipments and cargo uplift.
- Coordinating operations strategies for operational efficiency and meeting objectives.
- Managing, motivating team members, and conducting performance assessments.
- Identifying weaknesses in current procedures and processes, providing solutions for improvement.

Qualifications required for this role include:
- Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies, Nautical Science, or a related field.
- 6-10 years of experience in shipping operations for bulk, breakbulk, parcelling, and project cargo.
- Master Mariner with shore job experience in similar operations or sailing experience in relevant shipping trade.
- Fruitful experience in loading Windmill components, project cargo, and general cargoes.
- Proficiency in using CAD, FEMAP, or similar software for stowage planning.,
