Job Description

Job Title: Deputy Managing Director / Managing Director (Financial Services)
Role Overview : The Deputy Managing Director is responsible for leading the organization's strategic direction, ensuring financial performance, managing risk, and maintaining compliance with regulatory frameworks.
- The role involves overseeing all business operations, building stakeholder relationships, and driving long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Strategic Leadership : Define and execute the company's vision, mission, and long-term strategy. Identify new business opportunities (investments, markets, partnerships), drive expansion and profitability
2. Financial Management : Oversee budgeting, financial planning, and forecasting. Monitor revenue, profit margins, and cost structures. Ensure strong financial controls and reporting standards
3. Risk & Compliance : Ensure adherence to regulations (e.g., Reserve Bank of India, Securities and Exchange Board of India). Implement risk management frameworks (credit risk, market risk, operational risk). Maintain governance and audit standards
4. Operations Oversight : Supervise daily operations across departments (investment, lending, advisory, etc.) Improve efficiency, productivity, and service delivery. Ensure alignment between business units
5. Leadership & Team Management : Lead senior management and department heads. Build a high-performance culture. Oversee hiring, performance management, and leadership development
6. Client & Stakeholder Relations : Maintain relationships with key clients, investors, and partners. Represent the company in public, investor meetings, and industry forums. Enhance brand reputation and trust
7. Business Development : Drive revenue growth through new products and services. Expand client base and market share. Lead mergers, acquisitions, or partnerships required
Qualifications :

- MBA in Finance / CFA / CA (or equivalent)

- 10-20+ years of experience in financial services (banking, investment, NBFC, etc.)
- Proven leadership experience at senior level Key Skills

- Strong financial acumen

- Strategic thinking and decision-making Leadership and people management

- Risk assessment and regulatory knowledge

- Negotiation and stakeholder management KPIs / Success Metrics

- Revenue growth and profitability
