TestMu AI - Software Development Engineer II - Test - Automation Testing

As an SDET-2, you will collaborate closely with product managers, developers, DevOps teams, and architects to ensure the delivery of reliable, secure, and high-quality software products while embedding quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for web, API, backend, and integration testing.
• Build and execute automated test suites to validate functionality, performance, reliability, and security.
• Develop reusable automation utilities, libraries, and testing components.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to define test strategies and acceptance criteria.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing.
• Perform root cause analysis and troubleshoot complex issues across applications and environments.
• Participate in architecture discussions and provide inputs from a quality engineering perspective.
• Improve test coverage, execution efficiency, and release confidence.
• Design and implement performance, regression, smoke, and integration testing strategies.
• Monitor quality metrics and contribute to continuous process improvements.
• Work closely with developers to ensure early defect detection and prevention.

• Strong programming skills in Java, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or Appium.
• Experience testing REST APIs using Postman, Rest Assured, or similar frameworks.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and test design techniques.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI.
• Experience with version control systems including Git.
• Familiarity with SQL and database validation techniques.
• Understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• Experience working in Agile and Scrum environments.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Exposure to performance testing tools such as JMeter, Gatling, or K6.
• Experience with test reporting and observability platforms.
• Knowledge of security testing concepts.

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 25 years of experience in software testing and automation engineering.
• Demonstrated expertise in developing automation frameworks and improving engineering quality practices.
