Associate Director - Finance

About The Role
The Associate Director for Finance, plays a critical role in managing the financial operations and strategy of the company. This position is responsible for overseeing financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and risk management. The Associate Director for Finance collaborates with various stakeholders to drive financial growth, mitigate risks, and ensure regulatory compliance.
Some high level things you would own but not limited to:

• You will develop and implement financial models, forecasts, and budgets.
• You will analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making and strategic planning.
• You will conduct financial analysis to evaluate performance and identify areas for improvement.
• You will monitor key financial metrics and provide regular reports to senior management.
• You will prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• You will ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accounting standards, and internal policies.
• You will coordinate with auditors and oversee the annual financial audit process.
• You will implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• You will manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to support day-to-day operations.

• You will develop and implement strategies to optimize cash flow and minimize financial risk.
• You will monitor cash positions and prepare cash flow forecasts.
• You will collaborate with treasury and banking partners to manage financial transactions effectively.
• You will identify financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
• You will implement risk management frameworks and internal controls.
• You will monitor and assess market, credit, and operational risks.
• You will collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
• You will work closely with executive leadership to provide financial insights and guidance.
• You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Operations, and Product, to drive financial growth initiatives.
• You will communicate financial performance, forecasts, and strategies to investors, stakeholders, and board members.
• You will provide financial guidance and support to other departments as needed.

• Bachelors degree in finance, accounting, or a related field (a masters degree is a plus).
• Professional certification such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) is preferred.
• Proven experience in finance and accounting roles, with specific experience in fintech or related industries.
• Strong knowledge of financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Familiarity with financial regulations and compliance requirements in the fintech sector.
• Proficiency in financial modeling, analysis tools, and accounting software.
