B by Lenskart is Indias first full-stack AI smartglass — designed, engineered, and assembled in India. At just 40 grams (lighter than Meta Ray-Ban), powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon AR1 Gen 1 chipset, a Sony camera, and Google Gemini 2.5 Live, it brings real-time AI assistance, UPI payments, live translation, health monitoring, and hands-free computing to everyday life.

The global smartglasses market is projected to reach USD 4–5 billion by 2030 at 30% CAGR. Lenskart — with its omnichannel retail network, vertically integrated supply chain, and consumer data intelligence — is positioned to own Indias share of this market.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Define and own the 3-year product vision

• Set the product roadmap from Gen-1 hardware through a multi-generation platform strategy.

• Balance consumer delight, developer extensibility, and manufacturing feasibility.

• Represent product and technology strategy at the board level alongside CEO Peyush Bansal.

Lead full-stack engineering — hardware through cloud

• Manage multidisciplinary teams across embedded systems, on-device AI, mobile engineering, and backend data platform.

• Drive engineering velocity without sacrificing quality or reliability at scale.

• Own recruitment and org design for a 50–100+ person engineering organisation.

Build Indias wearable developer ecosystem

• Open the platform to third-party developers across food delivery, fitness, and entertainment.

• Own API governance, SDK, developer documentation, and partner success programs.

• Create the network-effect moat that makes B by Lenskart the platform, not just a product.

Drive AI-native product experiences

• Own feature areas: real-time translation, UPI payments, health and food logging, personalised recommendations, vision-based object recognition.

• Design AI experiences that work across Indic languages and low-latency rural networks.

• Collaborate closely with Google on Gemini Live roadmap for wearables.

Manage strategic technology partnerships

• Be the technical counterpart in partnerships with Google, Qualcomm, and Sony.

• Draw on Lenskarts investments in XR and AI startups (Ajna Lens and others) to accelerate in-house capability.

• Represent Lenskart at global wearables and AI conferences.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

Must-have

• 12+ years in product or engineering leadership, including at least one hardware-software platform built from 0 to 1.

• Hands-on experience with embedded or wearable systems (AR, XR, IoT, or equivalent consumer hardware).

• Track record shipping AI/ML features at consumer scale — millions of DAUs.

• Experience managing 50+ person cross-functional engineering organisations.

• Strong instincts for India-first product design: Indic languages, UPI, low-latency network constraints.

Great to have

• Prior work with Qualcomm Snapdragon AR chipsets or camera ISP pipelines.

• Experience with on-device LLM inference or edge AI deployment.

• Building and scaling developer platforms or marketplace ecosystems.

• Expertise in health wearables, computer vision, or real-time translation systems.

• Background at Meta, Apple, Google, Samsung, or equivalent in XR/spatial computing.
