Engineer I-Piping Material

Role Definition:

Roles at this level are entry-level engineers focused on the execution of the engineering projects assigned to them under guidance.

Key Responsibility:         

Project Execution 

• Execute tasks within set parameters and close guidance of the lead / area leads
• Prepare quality deliverable within budget, schedule and take full responsibility for the own task.
• Resolve interface issues with other disciplines

Preferred Skillset/Software:

• Prepare pipe class and piping specification and calculations
• SRD and material coding
• Specification for piping speciality items
• Suppliers offer evaluation, bid tabulation, drawing review
• Inspection and material clearance

Education & Experience:

1. Bachelor of Mechanical/ Chemical Engineering with 3 to 5 years experience in piping material engineering

Key Knowledge Area:

ASTM for piping components, ASME B 31.3 code for piping, ASME PCC-1, piping calculations for pipe thickness and components, Smart Reference Data (SRD)
