Consultant Anesthesia & Critical Care

Job Summary

Responsible for providing safe anesthesia services and managing critically ill patients in the ICU. The role involves perioperative care, anesthesia administration, and post-operative as well as intensive care management in coordination with surgical and medical teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-anesthesia assessments and provide anesthesia for elective/emergency surgeries.
  

• Manage intraoperative and post-anesthesia care ensuring patient safety and stability.
  
• Provide comprehensive ICU care, including ventilatory and hemodynamic management.
  
• Lead resuscitation efforts and emergency response.
  
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds, audits, and training of junior staff.
  
• Ensure adherence to hospital protocols, infection control, and NABH standards.
  

Qualifications

• Education: MBBS with MD/DNB in Anesthesia or equivalent.
  
• Experience: Minimum 1 year post-MD experience in Anesthesia & Critical Care.
  
• Certifications: BLS/ACLS mandatory; Fellowship in Critical Care preferred.
