Technology Recover Manager

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Technology Recover Manager to ensure the resilience of our critical IT business functions. The ideal candidate will design, implement, and enhance cross-functional programs, enabling the organisation to recover efficiently from disruptions and safeguard its data and systems. This role requires a deep understanding of regulations, security frameworks, and IT policies, coupled with excellent project management and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Understand and apply regulations, security frameworks, standards, and IT/Infosec policies to ensure business continuity.

Design, implement, and improve cross-functional business continuity programs. Lead Business Impact Analysis (BIA), business continuity planning, training, awareness activities, and simulations.

Develop and maintain disaster recovery (DR) plans to meet organisational objectives and contractual commitments.

Implement processes for data backup and recovery aligned with company retention policies.

Research and implement strategies and procedures for effective incident response and resumption of critical IT operations.

Oversee backup and recovery setups (on-premises and cloud) and adapt to business requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., CBCP, CISM, CISSP) preferred.

Proven experience in business continuity, disaster recovery, and IT resilience planning.

Strong knowledge of security frameworks, standards, and IT/Infosec policies.

Expertise in data backup, recovery technologies, and cloud solutions.

Excellent project management and team leadership skills.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

Exceptional communication skills, with experience in reporting to senior stakeholders and boards.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience managing cross-functional teams and working with diverse vendors.

Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance frameworks in cybersecurity.

Demonstrated ability to manage budgets effectively and optimise resources.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

Recovery Time Objective (RTO) and Recovery Point Objective (RPO) adherence.

Data backup success rate and recovery testing outcomes.

Employee training and awareness participation rates.

Frequency and effectiveness of business continuity simulations.
