We are Hiring Maintenance INCharge Cold room !!!!!

Location: Kochi , Kerala

Experience: 8 - 12 Years

Industry: Retail/Supermarkets

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of all display chillers, freezers, and cold room units across the retail store.
  
• Troubleshoot and repair refrigeration systems to minimize breakdowns and product losses.
  
• Monitor and record temperature levels to maintain food safety and storage standards.
  
  
• Conduct regular inspections and identify potential mechanical or electrical issues before failure.
  
• Coordinate with store operations and facility management teams to plan maintenance schedules with minimal disruption to store operations.
  
• Maintain detailed records of service activities, spare part usage, and maintenance reports.
  
• Support in the installation and commissioning of new refrigeration systems in existing and new store locations.
  
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols, and handle refrigerants and tools as per company and statutory standards.
  
• Train and supervise junior technicians and assist in performance evaluations.
  
• Liaise with OEM vendors and service contractors for AMC, spare parts procurement, and warranty-related repairs.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Diploma / ITI in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning or equivalent technical qualification.

• 8 -12 years of experience in refrigeration maintenance, preferably within retail / supermarket / food industry.
  
• In-depth knowledge of display chillers, deep freezers, walk-in chillers, and centralized refrigeration systems.
  
• Strong understanding of compressors, condensers, evaporators, expansion valves, refrigerants (R404A / R134A / R407C), and temperature controls.
  
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, circuit diagrams, and layout drawings.
  
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  
• Strong teamwork, communication, and time management abilities.
  
• Willingness to work on shifts, weekends, and attend emergency maintenance calls as required.
