Job Description

Job Title: BDM-Agency

As a BDM-Agency at RenewBuy in Guwahati, you will be a strategic force responsible for the comprehensive development, expansion, and high-performance management of the Individual Agency Channel across your assigned geography.
You will leverage your extensive industry expertise to drive aggressive growth targets, optimize channel efficiency, and ensure robust compliance, making a significant impact on RenewBuy's market presence.
Job Summary:
To strategically lead the development and management of the Individual Agency Channel in the assigned geography, driving significant growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities (KRA):
Agency Channel Development (Strategic & Leadership):
- Define and execute high-level strategies for sourcing and onboarding high-quality Point of Sale (POS) Agents, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and market demand.
- Lead and innovate in Agency Channel Development for the assigned Guwahati location, proactively identifying and capturing new growth territories and segments.
- Drive strategic collaboration with the Operations team to continuously optimize pre-licensing, training, and licensing processes, ensuring maximum efficiency and compliance.
- Design, implement, and oversee advanced induction training programs, and strategically partner with the sales training team to deliver comprehensive, impactful, and ongoing training for all POS agents.
- Proactively analyze, forecast, and optimize the mix of new and existing agents/POS to maximize market penetration, productivity, and profitability.
- Conceive, develop, and execute cutting-edge strategies to penetrate diverse and untapped market segments, driving significant channel expansion and market share gain.
Agency Channel Management (Performance & Retention Mastery):
- Establish and implement robust performance management frameworks for Agent performance, meticulously analyzing data on renewal/fresh database, sales funnel, and closures, and implementing strategic interventions for continuous improvement and high achievement.
- Pioneer initiatives to achieve and sustain exceptionally high active percentage of POS agents through innovative engagement models, incentive structures, and performance coaching.
- Develop and execute sophisticated attrition control strategies for POS Agents, leveraging in-depth data analytics to identify root causes and implement proactive, effective retention programs.
- Ensure unparalleled productivity of the entire POS agent network, and master the nuanced management of channel engagement to foster deep loyalty, maximize output, and drive consistent sales.
Channel Servicing (Operational Excellence):
- Direct and optimize the reconciliation of partner accounts, establishing streamlined processes and ensuring seamless, highly efficient coordination with all relevant internal departments to resolve any issues promptly.
Profitability (Strategic Contribution):
- Conduct in-depth analysis of various market dynamics, provide strategic feedback to senior management, and proactively propose significant improvements to internal organizational processes, products, and pricing to enhance competitiveness, market positioning, and overall profitability.
- Strategically manage and optimize loss ratios through advanced risk assessment, channel management, and product strategy input.

- Establish, enforce, and continuously review stringent compliance protocols with all external regulatory bodies and authorities, ensuring RenewBuy's adherence to all legal frameworks.
- Cultivate and ensure a culture of absolute internal compliance and hygiene across the entire channel, setting exemplary standards for ethical conduct, procedural adherence, and data integrity.
- Take ultimate responsibility for managing cheque bounce recovery and strategically addressing business pendency, implementing preventative measures where possible.
What We're Looking For:
- Minimum Required Qualification: Post Graduation
- Required Work Experience: 6 to 7 years in selling insurance products, with extensive experience in the agency channel, including significant strategic development, channel management, and leadership responsibilities.
Technical Skills/Knowledge:
- Expert-level Relationship Management and advanced negotiation skills.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Highly strategic, target-driven, and results-oriented with a proven track record of exceeding ambitious business development goals.
- Deep Customer and Service Orientation.
- Strong analytical abilities with proven experience in sales forecasting, market analysis, and data-driven decision-making.
