Job Description
Role & responsibilities
1. Industrial Relations (IR):
- Union Management:
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with union representatives.
- Lead collective bargaining negotiations and agreements.
- Resolve disputes and grievances in a timely and constructive manner.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.
- Conflict Resolution:
- Address employee issues related to workplace conditions, policies, and practices.
- Mediate conflicts between employees and management.
- Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to all statutory requirements, including labor laws, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
- Manage documentation for audits related to labor and statutory compliances.
2. Human Resources (HR):
- Workforce Planning & Talent Management:
- Drive recruitment and onboarding for plant-level positions.
- Ensure effective deployment of manpower as per operational needs.
- Identify training needs and facilitate employee skill development programs.
- Employee Engagement & Retention:
- Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives to boost morale and productivity.
- Conduct surveys and feedback mechanisms to gauge employee satisfaction.
- HR Policies Implementation:
- Roll out and enforce HR policies and procedures at the plant level.
- Monitor adherence to workplace rules and regulations.

- Ensure the plant complies with labor laws, including:
- Minimum Wage Act
- Factories Act
- Industrial Disputes Act
- Provident Fund and Employee State Insurance (ESI)
- Manage documentation and relationships with government labor authorities.
4. Performance Management:
- Monitor employee performance and provide feedback to improve productivity.
- Implement appraisal systems and processes to align individual goals with organizational objectives.
Preferred candidate profile
Minimum 10+ years of experience in HR/IR roles, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Hands-on experience in union management and labor law compliance
