Job Description

Job Summary:

Playaza Entertainments is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Manager Finance and Accounts to support the financial operations of our entertainment business. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and experience in managing financial reporting, compliance, and budgeting processes.

Role & responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, MIS reports, and statutory filings.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities in coordination with department heads.
  • Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audits.
  • Monitor cash flow, working capital, and financial performance metrics.
  • Implement and maintain financial controls and procedures.
  • Liaise with vendors, banks, and government authorities as needed.
  • Use accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP, QuickBooks) for day-to-day operations.
  • Provide financial insights to support strategic decisions.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Finance, Accounting, or Commerce.
  • Professional certification (CA Inter, CMA, or equivalent) preferred.

  • Minimum 35 years of experience in finance/accounting roles.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software.
  • Strong knowledge of Indian financial regulations and compliance.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
  • Male candidate (as per company preference).
  • Based in or willing to relocate to Trivandrum.
  • Experience in the entertainment, hospitality, or retail sector is a plus.
