Job Description
Job Title: Performance Marketing Specialist / SEO Specialist
Overview: We are looking for a highly skilled and analytical SEO Specialist to develop and execute effective SEO strategies that improve our online presence, drive organic traffic, and boost search engine rankings. The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of both On-Page and Off-Page SEO, proficiency in CMS platforms like WordPress, and a strong understanding of SEO analytics and reporting tools.
Key Responsibilities:
1. On-Page SEO Optimization
Conduct comprehensive keyword research to identify high-performing and relevant search terms.
Optimize meta titles, descriptions, header tags (H1H6), alt attributes, and URL structures.
- Improve website architecture, internal linking, and content hierarchy for better crawlability and user experience.
- Perform content audits to identify gaps, opportunities, and outdated material for optimization.
- Ensure proper implementation of schema markup (structured data) and canonical tags to improve search visibility.
- Analyze and enhance page speed, mobile responsiveness, and Core Web Vitals.
- Collaborate with content and web development teams to ensure SEO best practices are integrated into new designs and content.
2. Off-Page SEO & Link Building
- Develop and implement ethical link-building campaigns to strengthen domain authority.
- Conduct competitor backlink analysis and identify new link opportunities.
- Create and maintain local citations across directories like Google Business Profile, Yelp, and Bing Places.
- Manage guest posting, outreach, and digital PR initiatives to earn high-quality backlinks.
- Monitor and clean up toxic or spammy links to protect site reputation.
3. Technical SEO
Perform regular technical SEO audits using tools such as Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, or SEMrush.
- Fix crawl errors, broken links, duplicate content, and redirect issues.
- Ensure proper XML sitemap and robots.txt configurations.
- Optimize website for indexability and crawl budget efficiency.
- Work with developers to resolve JavaScript rendering and structured data issues.
4. SEO Tools & Analytics
- Manage websites using WordPress CMS, with a strong command of SEO plugins like All in One SEO, Yoast, or Rank Math.
- Utilize Google Search Console, Google Analytics (GA4), and Bing Webmaster Tools to track performance.
- Set up and maintain keyword tracking dashboards using platforms such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, Moz, or Google Data Studio.
- Measure and report on KPIs such as organic traffic, CTR, bounce rate, conversions, and keyword rankings.
- Conduct A/B testing to evaluate the impact of SEO changes.
5. Performance Measurement & Reporting
- Prepare comprehensive monthly reports detailing performance metrics, ranking improvements, and actionable insights.
- Monitor targeted keyword growth and demonstrate consistent ranking improvements sustained over 612 months.
- Provide data-driven recommendations for content strategy, link-building, and technical enhancements.
- Communicate progress, challenges, and strategic plans clearly to management or clients.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelors degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Digital Media, or a related field (preferred).
- 2-5+ years of proven experience in SEO with measurable results.
- Strong understanding of Google algorithm updates (e.g., Core Updates, Helpful Content, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with WordPress and SEO plugins like All in One SEO, Yoast, or Rank Math.

Proficiency in SEO and analytics tools including: Google Analytics (GA4) Google Search Console Bing Webmaster Tools Ahrefs / SEMrush / Moz Screaming Frog Google Data Studio / Looker Studio
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for on-site optimization.
- Familiarity with content marketing, local SEO, and E-E-A-T principles (Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, Trustworthiness).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Growth in organic traffic and click-through rates (CTR).
- Improvement in keyword rankings for target terms.
Increase in domain authority and quality backlink profile.
- Reduction in bounce rate and improvement in session duration.
Achievement of monthly and quarterly SEO goals.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Experience with content strategy or copywriting for SEO.
- Familiarity with Google Tag Manager and conversion tracking setup.
- Understanding of international SEO and multilingual site optimization.
- Basic knowledge of PPC advertising and social media marketing (for integrated campaigns).
