Job Description

Role : Data Scientist

Experience : 2+

Location : Cochin

Roles and responsibilities :

Extracting usable data from valuable data sources
Processing, cleansing, and validating the integrity of data to be used for analysis
Analysing large amounts of information to find patterns and solutions
Developing prediction systems and machine learning algorithms
Presenting results in a clear manner
Propose solutions and strategies to tackle business challenges

Skills

Programming Skills knowledge of statistical programming languages like R, Python (object-oriented programming a must) and database query languages like SQL is desirable.
Probability & Statistics Good applied statistical skills, including knowledge of probability distribution functions, statistical tests etc.
Machine Learning good knowledge of machine learning methods such as supervised techniques (Linear Regression, Lasso Regression, Na- ve bayes, KNN, Decision Trees etc), Unsupervised (K-Means, DBSCAN etc) and Ensemble techniques (Random Forest, XGBoost, AdaBoost etc).
Deep Learning - basic understanding of Neural Network and working knowledge of CNN based algorithm such as VGG16, ResNet, YOLO etc are preferred.

Hands-on experience with data science frameworks such as pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, Open-cv, Pytorch, FastAPI (Preferred for API development) etc.

Other Requirements

Working experience with GitHub and Git protocol.
Problem-solving aptitude
Strong Programming Background
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field is preferred
