ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a senior IT leader to own the design, build and reliability of the applications, tools and technologies that power our systematic trading business. This is a hands-on leadership role: you will set the technical direction, build and mentor a multi-disciplinary software and hardware engineering team, and assume end-to-end accountability for the systems that span research and signal generation through to live execution, risk management and post-trade performance and root-cause analytics.

Our proprietary platform spans large-scale, low-latency real-time systems, modern data infrastructure across relational, time-series and in-memory stores, and the production environments those systems run in. You will lead the modernization of legacy components while continuing to deliver against an active research and trading agenda — and you will be expected to bring the latest AI-enabled software and hardware engineering practices in order to enable and sustain competitive advantage.

WHAT YOU WILL OWN

■ Technical leadership and direction

– Define and drive the engineering technical roadmap, architecture standards and engineering excellence across the platform.

– Set the bar for code quality, design reviews, testing standards, observability and incident response.

■ Real-time, low-latency systems

– Architect, build and operate large-scale, low-latency, real-time systems supporting systematic trading and live execution.

– Drive performance optimization, capacity planning and high-availability design across the production stack.

■

– Design and manage modern data infrastructure — relational and time-series databases, run-time / in-memory stores, ETL/ELT pipelines, and large-scale historical data systems.

– Lead the modernization of legacy data and trading platforms with minimal disruption to live operations.

■ Engineering and DevOps team leadership

– Lead a multi-disciplinary team of software engineers, DevOps and infrastructure specialists — hire, mentor and grow the bench.

– Own the software development life cycle: planning, delivery, release management, and post-release reliability.

■ Production reliability

– Own production and product reliability — CI/CD, deployment automation, monitoring, SLOs, and incident management.

– Ensure that scalable, distributed systems are resilient, observable, and operationally sustainable.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Required qualifications and experience:

■ Strong software and engineering background with proven experience building and managing large-scale, low-latency, real-time systems. Experience in systematic trading or financial infrastructure is highly preferred.

■ Deep technical depth in scalable distributed systems, performance optimization, CI/CD pipelines, and high-availability production environments.

■ Modern data infrastructure expertise — hands-on experience designing and managing relational and time-series databases, run-time / in-memory stores, ETL/ELT pipelines, large-scale historical data systems, and the modernization of legacy platforms.

■ AI-enabled engineering — expertise in the latest AI-enabled programming and productivity techniques, with the judgment to apply them to a production trading environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

■ 10–15 years of total professional experience with 3-5 years of proven track-record of successful leadership
