Job Description
About the role:
Were looking for a hands-on Corporate HR leader for our staffing firm who can own end-to-end HR operations, build practical policies to reduce legal risk, and proactively solve people problems with excellent communication and creative thinking.
Key responsibilities:
- Full lifecycle employee experience: Manage recruitment support for internal hires, onboarding, induction, probation management, confirmations, exits and offboarding (including exit interviews and knowledge transfer).
- HR operations & HRIS: Own attendance, payroll coordination, statutory records, HRIS/HRMS data integrity, and monthly reconciliations. Ensure timely generation/maintenance of offer letters, appointment letters, increment letters, relieving letters and related documentation.
- Policy design & governance: Draft, implement and maintain HR policies (leave, travel, code of conduct, workplace safety, internal mobility, remote work, BGV, anti-harassment). Proactively update policies to reflect labour law changes and scale operations to avoid legal exposure. Act as owner of the employee handbook.
- Statutory & legal compliance: Ensure compliance with Indian labour laws and statutory filings (PF, ESI, professional tax where applicable), coordinate audits, and work with external legal counsel for complex employment matters. Maintain documentation for statutory audits.
- Employee relations & grievance management: Act as escalation point for employee concerns, lead fair investigations, mediate manager-employee disputes, and implement corrective actions to limit attrition and litigation risk.
- BGV, vendor & vendor-contract management: Manage background verification process, vendor selection and SLAs for BGV, medical and other vendors. Negotiate contracts and ensure SLA adherence.
- Performance & reward operations: Support performance cycle logistics goal setting, appraisal rollouts, calibration exercises, compensation change implementations and documentation.
- Learning & development:Partner with leadership to design role-based induction and ongoing learning plans. Run manager trainings on policies, compliance, behavior and documentation best practices.

- Process improvement & automation: Identify bottlenecks in HR processes, propose SOPs, and drive automation or low-cost tools to reduce turnaround times and errors.
Must-have skills & attributes:
- 6+ years HR experience with strong exposure to HR operations, statutory compliance and policy drafting — staffing/agency or services company experience preferred.
- Excellent written & verbal communication — able to draft clear policies, letters, and legally defensible documentation.
- Strong problem-solver: thinks out-of-the-box, comfortable with ambiguity, capable of proposing pragmatic solutions that balance business and legal risk.
- Stakeholder management: credible with business leaders and external vendors; negotiates well.
- Good working knowledge of Indian labour laws and statutory processes (PF/ESI/Professional tax/TDS etc.).
- Hands-on with MS Excel, Google Workspace, and familiarity with any HRMS (HROne, greytHR, Oracle PeopleSoft etc.).
- High attention to detail and comfort owning processes end-to-end.
