Title: AssociateDepartment: Mercury Capital Advisors India Private LimitedLocation: Gurgaon, IndiaPosition and Responsibilities : Mercury Capital Advisors is seeking to hire a full-time Associate to work with the Global Project Management team to deliver best-in-class capital raising and advisory services. Typical job responsibilities for the role would include, but not limited to:Deal Execution and Relationship Management- Excellent relationship and regular dialogue with assigned GPs at all levels including junior / working level professionals. Effective handling of day-to-day communication with the GPs- Successful execution of a deal campaign by providing overall fundraising support, working as a deal team associate, including coordination of target lists, GP updates to distribution team, LP updates to GPs, handling LP queries/DD requests, meeting logistics and investor profiles- Responsible for oversight and production of client's marketing / DD materials (flipbook, DDQ, PPM, data requests) and feedback materials (activity reports, calendar, dashboard)- Support Origination team in producing pitch materials, research tasks and internal marketing materials such as flipbooks, market mapping and competitive benchmarking- High accuracy (aiming for 100%) in production of all work, and timeliness in delivery of product to internal and external stakeholdersMarket Intelligence and Analytics :- High proficiency in building and understanding financial models, including extracting information from waterfall models, gross and net returns, portfolio metrics, etc.- Develop GP analytics, mapping and intelligence to assist Origination team identify and source high quality GPs across different strategies, and competitive landscaping for each deal- Develop LP analytics, mapping and enhanced intelligence across investor channels, asset classes and on each deal using research tools such as Preqin- Support the global secondary and directs team in executing advisory mandates- Onboarding of new deals and other ad-hoc topicsLeadership, Teamwork and Collaboration :- Efficient delegation, guidance and feedback on junior Analysts- Teamwork, participation and inputs on Training & Development- Collaboration with Origination, Distribution and Finance teamsQualifications and Characteristics :- Minimum of 3-5 years of prior experience in the investment banking, advisory, private equity or other financial services industry, preferably within the area of alternative investments- Knowledge of fund structures and various ratios viz. Internal rate of return, Time weighted return, Investment multiple- Excellent verbal and written communication skills- Self-starter with an intellectual curiosity and exceptional attention to detail- Global mindset with the ability to collaborate and work with teams across different geographies- Exceptional Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills- Strong team player with interpersonal skills as required to interact with personnel across all levels of the firm and fund managers;Compensation and Benefits :Base salary above or on par with the industry standards; and discretionary annual bonus.
